Hyperscaler capital expenditure, quarterly
This chart shows quarterly capital expenditure by Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta, and Oracle, together with their combined total. It uses SEC XBRL cash-flow facts and waits for all five companies to report a quarter, preventing an incomplete filing season from appearing as a spending decline.

Methodology
Quarterly capital expenditures for Amazon, Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta, and Oracle from SEC XBRL company concepts. The pipeline accepts the companies' applicable cash-flow tags for purchases of property, plant, equipment, or productive assets; cumulative year-to-date values are differenced within each fiscal year to obtain quarters. Values are converted to billions of dollars. Only quarters reported by all five companies are displayed, and the Total line sums those five values; a partially reported newest quarter is withheld until the remaining filings arrive.
